Process for Updating Major Checksheets
- If a checksheet needs updating, the department or program should send the updated checksheet to the appropriate dean's or (for University College) vice provost’s office. After approving the updated checksheet, the dean's or vice provost’s office should send it electronically in PDF format to Tanya Randall (randalltg@appstate.edu) and Danna Lyons (lyonsds@appstate.edu) in the University College Academic Advising Center. The Academic Advising Center will forward the checksheet to Beth Jacquot, who will post it on the checksheet web site.
- Checksheets must be submitted to the Academic Advising Center in PDF format. The accuracy of the checksheet is the responsibility of each department with approval from the college dean's office, and any curricular changes on checksheets must be approved by AP&P before appearing on the checksheet. Questions about what kinds of changes need AP&P approval should be directed to Lesa Felker (felkerlr@appstate.edu) and Jeff Butts (buttsja@appstate.edu).
- Only major checksheets will be posted on www.checksheets.appstate.edu; at the present time minor checksheets will remain on department/college sites.
- From 2009-2010 on, we will archive checksheets on www.checksheets.appstate.edu; 2008-2009 and previous years' checksheets should be archived on the college sites where they currently reside, and where current students are accustomed to look for them. The checksheet web site will continue to provide a link to the “majors” web page (http://www.appstate.edu/academics/majors.php) for previous years’ checksheets. That page will need to be changed so that students are directed to http://www.checksheets.appstate.edu for current checksheets.
